Bowen Therapy Technique

Bowen therapy technique involves massage of specific parts of the body.

It rejuvenates the body and enhances circulation. It is a technique of massage that aids in bringing about a balance in the system. It is a holistic technique of treatment. It eliminates the physiological and mental blocks from the system.

It uses vibrational energy thereby initiating the energy of the system. A number of complications are relieved by this technique. Joint mobility, circulation, posture, toxin elimination, venous and lymphatic draining, normalisation of tissue integrity and cellular physiology and nutrient assimilation are some of the conditions that finds improvement with Bowen.

The massage procedure involves the individual to lie flat with no clothes or loosely fitting clothes.

The therapist or specialist initially gets a closer look at the individual to identify the problem causing tendon, ligament or muscles. No heavy movements are seen. This massage includes light movements with the thumb and finger. A particular area or muscle is concentrated. The primary movements are on the direction of the muscle. This is followed by movement in the other direction, thereby producing energy. The therapist allows the individual to be alone for around two to five minutes. This enables the necessary changes and the energy process is initiated.

The therapist continues with the next group of muscles. Minor illness, call for one to three sessions, for full recovery. In the case of serious issues, Bowen massage might fail to provide any remedy. Sciatica, bed wetting, whiplash, sports injuries, scoliosis, stress disorders, skeletal imbalance, anorexia, menstrual cramps, fatigue, colic, hormonal disorders and hyperactive disorder are some of the conditions that respond positively to Bone massage therapy. Any modification in lifestyle, if necessary is made.

About fifteen minutes of walking on a daily basis is helpful, in conjunction with Bowen therapy. Long hours of sitting (around half an hour) are avoided. Bowen therapy technique is said to be effective and safe for individual of all age groups, such as infants and adults.

Excessive cold or hot water are averted, especially at the area of massage. Stimulants, such as coffee are abstained from. At least five glasses of water on a daily basis, aids in warding off the toxins and other waste metabolites. The healing process that is inherent is triggered by the massage. This is denoted by certain symptoms, such as emotional releases, body ache, cold flushes and headaches. Choice of a good therapist is of great importance.
