Black Pepper Essential Oil

Black pepper oil is extracted from the Piper Nigrum plant of the Piperaceae family.



The white pepper used at homes is also made from the same black pepper plant. The oil is made from an unripe red fruit of the plant.
 
It also heals the muscles and joints. It strengthens the stomach and kidneys and improves the immune system of the body. It also heals bruises by increasing the blood circulation to the skin.  

Black pepper oil has a strong, sharp smell.



Its smell resembles that of clove oil. Its color varies from light amber to yellowish green. The plant is found in many parts of the world that include China, Indonesia, India, Singapore, and Malaysia. The plant usually grows to a height of 20 feet. Its lifespan is 20 years.



The black pepper plant has been used since ancient times for therapeutic purposes. The essential oil is extracted from the plant using steam distillation. Each plant yields about two percent oil.

Black pepper is used to provide relief from different aches and pains. It is also an effective remedy for flu and colds. The oil increases the circulation. It relaxes the body and cures the pain in muscles. It is also used for toning the nerves. It helps in stimulating the appetite. It is good for the digestive system of the body as well.

The vapors of black pepper oil can be used to provide relief from congestion of the nasal passages. It also soothes the mind. Black pepper is also used in massage therapy. Black pepper body wash is a product of the oil that is used for bathing purposes. Bathing with the diluted oil helps to heal injuries, improves blood circulation, and relieves muscular pains and arthritis.

Blood pepper is also applied in diluted form to the skin. Used this way, it helps to treat painful limbs. It stimulates appetite and helps in bowel movement. It is also used to reduce the body temperature. It increases the blood circulation and replenishes the skin.

Black pepper oil can be used in conjunction with many other essential oils such as clove, fennel, clove, clary sage, bergamot, geranium, sandalwood, sage, mandarin, lemon, lime, juniper, lavender, ylang-ylang, and ginger.

Precautions: Black pepper oil can cause irritation to sensitive skin. The oil should not be used by pregnant women. Excessive use of the oil may also be harmful for the kidneys.
