Yoga Therapy for The Eyes Your eyes are often called the windows to your soul so Yoga therapy for the eyes often becomes very essential.
Always wearing the mask of your emotions, they can often hold a lot of unnecessary tension and stress. Eyes get tired and dry from over use and improper lighting. Try to begin this, Yoga therapy exercise by simply softening your gaze. Do you look at the computer screen or your colleagues with the same eyes as you use looking at a newborn baby or sunset? Practice eyes of compassion.

Upward and Downward movements
Gaze softly in front and in the center. Vertically, pencil in an imaginary line, from the floor to ceiling.
Inhaling gently and deeply, direct your gaze to the ceiling. Now exhale deeply and take your gaze down to the floor. Reduce speed and repeat the process 5 times. To end, quickly blink your eyes a few times and then shut them to relax. Until you have attained mastery over the process, remember to continue breathing.
Sideward movementsGaze softly in front and in the center. Inhaling gently and deeply, rotate your gaze to the far right. Now, exhale deeply and rotate your gaze to the far left. See if your head is moving from side to side. If so, repeat the exercise and this time try to keep your head stationary. Reduce speed and repeat the process 5 times. To end, quickly blink your eyes a few times and then shut them to relax, then take a few gentle and deep breaths.
Clockwise / Anticlockwise movements
Gaze softly in front and in the center. Slowly start to rotate your eyes in a clockwise direction. Set your eyes up at a twelve o’clock position, then move to one o’clock, then two o’clock, etc… Reduce speed and repeat the process 3 times. To end, quickly blink your eyes a few times and then shut them to relax, then take a few gentle and deep breaths. Next, try the same exercise counter-clockwise, but make sure to relax your eyes for a few minutes in between.
