Technique

  • From the supine posture slowly come sitting up.
  • Rest your hands behind your hips and the fingers pointed backwards.

  • Inhale and lean back into your arms, using them to lift the hips up toward the ceiling.

  • Try to press the bottoms of your feet flat down into the floor, toes pointing forwards.
  • Align your body from the toes to the shoulders in one straight line.
  • Roll your neck backwards and gaze at the ceiling.

  • To release: slowly exhale and lower your hips back to the floor.
