Locust Pose – Salabhasana

Technique

1.



Lie on the floor, face down.

2. Rest your chin on the floor and place your hands by your sides.

3. Make a fist with each hand and place them firmly against the floor at under your groin.




4. Raise your left leg slowly while pushing against the floor with your fists.


5.



Raise it as high as is comfortable.

6. Hold the pose for 10 seconds.

7. Lower your leg to ground.

8. Relax for sometime.


9. Then raise your right leg and follow the same procedure.


10. Rest for a while

11. Then bearing your body weight on your fists, try to raise both legs simultaneously off the floor.

12. Hold the position for as long as you can then slowly lower your legs.

13. Relax with cheek resting on your folded arms.
