Stress is significant part of our lives these days. Anxieties, worries and excessive pressure of modern life cause stress. And it’s more than just a mental thing. Stress sign symptoms can be behavioral and psychological, as well as physical.

The physical symptoms of stress are caused because of panic attacks and the physical reaction of fight or flight. If you delve into history and research, you’ll realize that this response was designed to help people protect themselves from dangerous situations – wither to run away or fight with the instant boost of strength and energy. Stress responses were also meant for shorter duration. But these days, stress is almost an ever-present thing and the chemical response to stress can cause fitness and health-related problems.

Physical symptoms of stress: Some of the common symptoms of anxiety and stress are as follows: Palpitations or chest pain, tension headaches and migraines, indigestion, nausea, heartburn, loss of appetite, diarrhea or constipation, flatulence, stomach cramps, twitching, muscle spasms, rheumatoid arthritis, increased sweating, balding and poor blood circulation. Some of the other physical symptoms include neck and back pain, frequent colds and flu, asthma attacks, impotence or premature ejaculation, menstrual irregularity and infertility.

Behavioral symptoms: Some of these are over eating and obesity, excessive drinking, loss of appetite, anorexia, drinking excessive coffee, irritability, substance abuse, indecisiveness, concentration problems, suppressed and increased anger, paranoia, feeling out of control, and becoming excessively emotional. Losing your sense of humor, not being able to complete jobs you started, decreased sex drive, nail biting and excessive exhaustion are some of the other behavioral symptoms of stress.

Stress in modern life: When cannot meet the demands put on us and bite more than we can chew, then that leads to stress. Different people have different reasons to get stressed. Financial problems, trying to meet the killing deadlines at work, a boring job, a lofty loan and constant relationship problems are some of the reasons that people get stressed about.

Also, several of our coping symptoms such as a feeling of community and kinship, long term job safety, loads of physical activity and sensible borrowing, aren’t there anymore. Life moves on at a faster pace, a pace that we have problem coping with and things are more self and money-centered. Most people place a lot of value on the kind of money they are able to earn, and for that, the kind of hours they are ready to put into their job. When this is combined with less family time and absolutely no physical activity, stress becomes inevitable.
