Fish, meat, chicken, eggs, cereals and rice belong to the acid category of food staff.

Low carb vegetables are broccoli, mushroom, squash, green beans, snow peas, leafy green, leek, celery, asparagus, sprouts and herbs, radishes, turnips, carrot, cabbage, okra, eggplant, peppers among others.

Low carb fruits are lemon, papaya, guava, strawberry, melon, watermelon, peach, apples, raspberries, cranberry, blackberry, rhubarb etc. which have low to medium sugar content. Since fruit is sugar, you have to be careful about which fruit you are having. Have whole fruit instead of fruit juice.
