Yoga for Healing Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is, in fact, the term used to refer to a group of over 100 health conditions with a common factor.



That common factor is inflammation of the joints. There are several common types of arthritis.



These include Osteoarthritis (this is the most common), Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, and Fibromyalgia.

There is often a lifestyle factor which might explain why it is, more often than not, men who suffer from gout.



This is the result of excess uric acid which gets deposited in the joints. Amusingly, uric acid levels are higher for those who have too much alcohol, since it hinders the process of eliminating excess uric acid. In any case it looks like rheumatoid arthritis seems to be correlated with poor bone and muscle health, disproportionate body weight, and unhealthy lifestyle.
