Causes

What you probably have is a kind of an axillary infection. These are basically an infection of the lymph nodes or skin which is located in one’s armpits. The shaving of underarm hair is one of the primary causes of this kind of an infection and it results in the formation of cuts or tiny irritated bumps or boils. These tiny cuts or bumps could then become vulnerable to various kinds of bacterial invasion, ultimately resulting in an infection. These types of infections could also be a result of hair in-growths. In-growths are formed when a person either waxes their hair or makes use of depilatory creams. Such kind of axillary infections, usually feel like hard bumps which are painful when touched. These bumps can many a times get infected with pus and fluid and may then require medical attention.

At times, waxing could cause an axillary infection, if bacteria have happened to contaminate the wax. Such bumps may also be an indication of infections in some other part of a person’s body. The lymph nodes present in the armpits may get swollen if one is warding off a viral or bacterial infection. Bumps in the armpits could also be an indication of breast cancer, hence consulting a physician would be recommended. Here are a few home remedies to treat armpit bumps. Keep the armpits clean and dry at all times. If you use a razor, then make sure that it has been immersed in an antiseptic solution, ten minutes prior to using it. Avoid using any harsh deodorants or antiperspirants till the bumps have been cured.
