The Aftermath

When Kundalini is awakened, Prana flows upwards through the Brahma Nadi along with mind and Agni. One has to take it up to Sahasrara Chakra via the different chakras oneself, with the aid of certain specific practices like Mahabheda, Shakti Chalana, etc. Awakening Kundalini is relatively easy compared to raising it up to Sahasrara Chakra. This calls for tremendous reserves of perseverance patience and constant practice.

It is normal to experience intense heat when Kundalini is at a particular Chakra. When it leaves that Chakra for another, it is normal for the former to feel rather cold and listless

But, no sooner has Kundalini is awakened, than it pierces the Muladhara Chakra and tremendous power is unleashed. The resulting expansion of consciousness affects every cell of one’s being, from biological functions to interpersonal relationships. In fact, one’s very concept of reality undergoes a paradigm shift. The person experiences irrevocable, unimaginable changes, some he may never ever come to fully comprehend. This risen Kundalini could also be interpreted as one’s first palpable link to the Supreme Spirit.
