The heart is the lifeline for all the organs in your body, without which life would cease. These techniques help to reduce the chances of a heart attack and prevent various heart diseases. There also various Asanas, which help to improve the health of the heart. Certain poses, which focus on the upper back and chest regions help to boost the functioning of various glands, thus improving respiration. The side poses help improve the kidney and bladder function thus helping in the purification of blood, which consequently keeps the heart in good shape. Poses such as Shavasana (Corpse Pose) have a profound effect on the body by lowering high blood pressure and increasing blood circulation,
