Causes

There are manifold reasons that could contribute towards you suffering from stomach palpitations. It could be due unhealthy eating habits, undue stress and many other reasons. Apart from the aforementioned reasons, if you do not have regular meals at regular timings, then it can cause the development of stomach ulcers which can eventually cause stomach palpitations. Just like overeating can cause stomach palpitations, similarly, starving yourself can also cause stomach palpitations. This occurs because the juices secreted in the stomach have the capacity to harm the inner walls of the stomach. Also, nervousness caused due to overexcitement, sadness or happiness can lead to stomach palpitations. In fact, this is the very feeling that people refer to as “butterflies in the stomach.” If you consume medicines that are not prescribed by the physician or if you consume medicines on an empty stomach, then it can cause stomach problems which can lead to stomach palpitations.
