Hair Removal Methods

The methods of hair removal depend entirely on the region that you are trying to get rid of the hair from. Some areas like the face require very special treatment and may even require two methods of hair removal, because a certain degree of artistry and aesthetics have to be borne in mind. The most natural methods of hair removal are those that either use no chemicals or require alternatives that are more natural. One of the biggest risks of any kind of hair removal is the danger of an ingrown hair. This can be very painful sometimes, and may cause problems. Home remedies are considered helpful while getting rid of unwanted hair, however, they are sometimes not as effective as the commercially available products.

Sugaring And Threading Techniques

The two most natural techniques of hair removal are sugaring and threading. Threading is a technique that was invented in the Middle East to remove hair from the face. Removing hair from the face requires a certain degree of tact and design sense, especially when it comes to dealing with the eyebrows. These have to be sculpted into a certain shape and maintained that way. The technique of threading though very natural is not something that you can do at home yourself. This is because the method requires two free hands and your teeth to hold on to the thread and to keep it taut. In addition, this method, though effective, can be a bit painful or lave some residual irritating, after hair removal. Sugaring, on the other hand, is a much gentler procedure and its return to prominence is probably because it leaves behind very little irritation on the skin when applied. The technique works by boiling a solution of sugar syrup and orange juice together until the consistency is that bordering thick oil and a solid. This should then be applied to the skin with a porous cloth applied on the mixture. When the mixture cools a bit, rip off the cloth in an action similar to the removal of a bandage and the hair will come out.

There is much to be said about the benefits of using these two techniques, especially since they do not bring you into contact with any toxic chemicals. The drawback in the respective techniques are that threading is not a technique that every salon will have expertise in, and sugaring requires some practice before one can get the consistency of the sugar mixture precisely .
