Getting Rid Of Ear Wax Deposits

By Patricia | February 24, 2010

If you have ears that are emitting a foul odor, then there is a reason for this. In all likelihood, there are deposits in your ears and this is a cleaning issue. You may not have possibly cleaned out your ears in a long time. Sometimes, when there is water that tends to collect in your ears, this can also mix with whatever dirt or deposits may be there in your ears and cause a mushy mix. If this hangs around in your ear for a long enough time, it will not only cause a horrible smell to emanate, it will also become a matter of hygiene. Other times, there are wax deposits that have not been cleaned out for the longest time. This can also cause a really terrible smell to come from your ears. These wax deposits themselves are also incredibly smelly and they will also get trapped and caught in the fine hairs that are present in your ears. You best solution is not only to clean out your ears thoroughly, but to also make it a habit to always keep cleaning them. You will have to invest in things like hydrogen peroxide and a steady supply of ear swabs. The best way of cleaning your ears is to pour a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ear and let it be there for a few minutes. When you hear a popping and crackling sound, it is indicative that the dirt as well as the peroxide is rising to the surface of your ear. This is a great time to use a swab and clean out your ear. This will also eliminate all smells that you are constantly troubled with. You should try and do this at least twice a week for good results. This will help keep your ears clean and will also help to keep you free of ear infections.

Another reason for your ears smelling could be wearing the same pair of earrings for a long time. If you have been wearing the same pair of earrings for a long enough time, you will find that there will be a really nasty smell coming out of the backs of the earrings. This is fairly common. Please remember that the earrings need to be removed and cleaned periodically. You would also be better off keeping your ears free of earrings for a few days every now and then.
