Inflammation and pain in the legs can be a very painful condition causing a great deal of discomfort and uneasiness. The reason for this inflammation could be varied and depends from person to person. Most of the times an inflammation could be signaling a serious condition that is persisting for a long period of time. Following a certain diet also helps to a great extent wherein you need to eat a lot of healthy fruits and vegetables and food that is rich in protein like chicken and fish. Soybeans, green peas, beans and legumes soaked in water are also high in protein. Vegetables that are steamed are a great way to consume carbohydrates and proteins in the right amounts and thus should be eaten more often in this form. Green leafy vegetables contain antioxidants that help to reduce inflammation and thus should be included in your diet. You should consume a lot of flaxseeds, walnuts, seeds of pumpkin and fatty fish especially salmon as they are a rich source of omega 3 fatty acids that have a lot of anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger should also be included in your daily meals because of the anti-inflammatory properties that it possesses. You could either add it to your food or make a tea using their roots. Drink a lot of water to remain hydrated as it is said to be a natural way of treating inflammation and also exercise for at least sometime during the day.
