Regular yoga practice has an impact on both the physical and mental health of a person. Yoga ensures that the mind is always calm, alert, focused, and balanced. On the physical side, yoga ensures that the body is well toned, strong, and flexible.

The practice of yoga involves holding a posture for a few counts, with accompanying breathing exercises. The breathing exercises ensure that the muscles get enough oxygen and the postures themselves ensure that the muscles get worked and stretched. Through these exercises the body gains flexibility and strength.

If you are determined to use a muscle relaxant, than using a natural one like Valerian Root is the best option you have. However it is very important that you take only the suggested dosage. Remember these relaxants do more than make the muscles comfortable, they also slow down breathing and heart rate. A relaxant, as the name suggests, calms the body and mind. When taken in a high dosage it can make you drowsy, a fact that could hamper your routine. Also if you do take relaxants, please be sure to inform your instructor. If you are on any other medication, you should also consult your doctor prior to taking a relaxant.
