I am 28 years old, there are some white hair on my chin, how to prevent white hair

Grey hair results when protein synthesis does not take place properly. The hair begins to turn white when the production of the pigment, melanin stops taking place in the hair follicles. There are pigment cells present at the base of hair follicles. These cells produce melanin, which is responsible for the color of the hair. As the process of ageing takes place, these pigment cells start dying and the hair begins to lose its color. This causes the hair to slowly become grey.

White or grey hair is usually considered to be a part of ageing. However, the graying of hair is also based on hereditary factors and as such an individual is likely to develop grey hair prematurely if it runs in the family. Stress can also play a role in the graying of hair. Those who experience period of continued stress may notice the development of white hair over a period of time. Poor nutrition is another cause of premature grey hair. Shock, tension and sorrow can also be involved in the graying of the hair. Deficiencies of certain vitamins and minerals can affect the normal production of melanin and lead to grey hair. In some case, certain illnesses can cause the production of melanin to stop. It is popularly believed that plucking out a grey hair can lead to the growth of additional grey hair. However this is a myth which does not hold any truth. It is possible that when you pull out a grey hair, there may be another grey hair next to it which has just begun to grow. As such two grey hairs will start growing simultaneously.

How To Prevent White Hair

An effective natural remedy for premature graying of hair is Indian gooseberry. A paste of Indian gooseberry massaged into the scalp helps to nourish the hair follicles and prevents hair fall and early graying of the hair. Regular massage with coconut oil and lemon juice helps to keep the hair healthy and prevents growth of white hair. These massages must be done for about fifteen minutes daily. Another home remedy that is believed to help in preventing premature graying of hair is to add one tablespoon of salt to a cup of black tea. This can then be applied to the hair roots. After an hour the hair may be rinsed with plain water. Use of good quality hair care products is also essential in preventing hair problems. Opt for mild shampoos and conditioners that do not contain harsh chemicals.
