Many a times individuals tend to suffer from periodontal disease and other such dental problems because of other factors such as stress, hormones, medications and so on.

The diet of the person also plays an important role in maintaining good oral health. One of the important oral health tips pertaining to the diet of the individual is to increase the intake of antioxidant vitamins and calcium rich foods. This is because these are needed by the body to control the damage by bacteria as to also maintain homeostasis. For good oral health one should also try and give up smoking as far as possible because research has shown that exposure to any tobacco smoke tends to increase the chances of severe periodontal disease, bleeding of the gums and even gum detachment.
