Hair and Skin Care with Pomegranate Seed Oil

Pomegranate seed oil, as the name implies is made by cold pressing the seeds of the pomegranate fruit. It is a stable oil with a soft amber color and a slightly fruity odor. Like grape seed oil and jojoba oil, it is mixed in creams, lotions, bath oils, and also in some medications for good skin and hair care. And just like almond oil, grape seed oil and jojoba oil, it is also popular as a carrier oil for aromatherapy with essential oils. Sometimes, it is also recommended to be taken internally in some dietary supplements.

Organic Pomegrante Seed Oil

Considering that over 200 pounds of the fresh fruits are required to extract just one pound of the oil, pomegranate seed oil may seem prohibitively expensive. Organic pomegranate seed oil is also available these days, but may be even more expensive than the average variety.
