There are some small sores and blisters near my vagina, it gives very bad odor, what it could be?

There are several causes of sores and blisters on the vagina. It would help if you identified some more symptoms of your condition to determine what exactly it is that you suffer from. Sores are caused by yeast infection in the vagina, which is caused by Candida Ablicans. Yeast infection also causes vaginal itching, white discharge, and fishy odor in the vagina. Another cause of sores or blisters in the vagina is genital herpes, a viral infection caused by Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 and 2 that attacks the genitals. Genital herpes has symptoms like fever, muscle pain, abdominal pain, and swollen glands. If these symptoms are absent in your case, the sores could be a result of an injury or just heat. Sometimes using perfumed tampons or sanitary napkins also causes reactions. You must get yourself checked by a gynecologist as there are sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea and chancroids that also could cause blisters and sores.

Remedies

Till you find out what the real cause of sores is, you need to take some home care measures to prevent worsening of the condition and to find relief. Firstly, keep the vaginal area clean and dry as dampness is a breeding ground for bacteria and viruses. Try not to use harsh soaps on the vaginal area till the sores are cured. Clean the part gently with clean cotton swab and lukewarm water. Do not wear synthetic panties and opt for only cotton underclothing. You must also refrain from having sexual intercourse till you have diagnosed and treated the sores.

To treat all kinds of vaginal infections, whether viral, fungal or bacterial, you can take a warm hip bath three to four times a day with a few drops of tea tree oil or apple cider vinegar added to it. These have good antibacterial and antiviral properties that will treat the problems. Garlic is also an important antiviral product. You can boil a couple of cloves of garlic in 100 ml of olive oil and use this oil to treat the sores. Applying petroleum jelly to the sores will ensure that air is blocked from reaching the sores. This is necessary to make the sores heal faster. Sores on any body part occur when the immune system is low. To strengthen the immune system, eat lots of green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and raw vegetables and get regular physical exercise for at least 20 minutes daily.
