The reason that your boyfriend is sweating so much through his feet is probably because of the type of shoes and socks that he is wearing. Specifically, for socks, if you are heavy sweater then you need to invest is cotton socks that allow evaporation of sweat.

Get Rid Sweaty Feet Odor

Everyone sweats from the feet, young or old, men and women. The only difference lies in the comfort levels of footwear that you buy. Men generally tend to buy stiffer pairs of shoes that literally feel like an extra layer of flesh on the foot. As if this is not bad enough, the shoes are also tightened. All this makes for zero air circulation in the feet. Another reason for excessive sweating from the feet is the level of activity that one goes through in a day. Too much walking, running, cycling will all cause your feet to perspire. Sweaty feet are not just anecdotal and a cause for odor, but they can pose a health problem as well. If a person who heavily perspires were to come into contact with a dermatophtye – a fungus of the skin, then sweaty feet are the best environment for a fungus to grow in; therefore, the need to arrest the problem.

Remedies

The first thing to do is to get your boyfriend used to not being in his shoes. Shoes should only be worn when absolutely necessary, and are not an extension of one’s body. Therefore, they should be removed as soon as you are back at home or in an environment that allows you to take off your shoes. Next, buy new shoes that are one size larger and socks that are not very thick. Do not worry about the feet getting cold. Considering the amount of sweating occurring right now, a chill is the last thing that will happen. Finally, use an astringent to reduce the size of the pores. Before going out to work or when it is predictable, dip your feet in Epsom salts for a few minutes, dry them and apply a lot of talcum powder before putting on the shoes and stepping out. Another practical thing to do is to walk gentler. A lot of aggressive walking puts stress on the foot to balance and keep pace. Walking at a more leisurely pace is useful in this regard and does not place too much stress on the feet leading to less work and sweat production.
