In order to use green tea as an under eye treatment, take two green tea bags and brew them in hot water. Allow them to cool and use them as a compress by placing them under your eyes for ten minutes. Some herbalists also believe that applying a mask made from parsley leaves over the face and especially under the eyes can be an effective treatment for bags under the eyes. Massaging the eyes with the help of castor oil helps in relaxing the veins around the eyes and also boosts blood circulation under the eyes.

One of the main reasons for puffiness under the eyes is hereditary, while a number of external factors can also cause under eye bags. In most people, age is believed to be the biggest culprit in forming the puffiness. As a person ages, the ligaments of the eye gets weaker and as the skin loses its elasticity the formation of loose skin results in under eye bags.
