Home Remedy For Darkened Under Eyes

Tiredness under the eyes is a problem that most people have to go through because of the thinness of the skin under the eyes. This skin is so thin that the veins in the area cause a dark-blue appearance to form. The reason for this darkening can also include a hyperpigmentation that is sometimes just a genetic factor. However, in nearly all cases of skin darkening under the eyes and the appearance of tiredness, the underlying problem is nearly always not getting enough sleep; though, oddly, oversleeping can cause the exact same problem to occur.

Hypoxia Symptoms

The skin under the eyes is just like any other skin in the body but for the fact that it is extremely thin – the thinnest in the whole body, and this makes the veins under the skin more prominent. All over the body, it is the veins that are the visible areas of the circulatory system with arteries supplying fresh blood from below the area. When there is a lack of oxygen content in the body, the veins tend to become more prominent and this is the tell-tale sign that all doctors look for. To this effect, holding your breath till you turn blue actually has some truth in it and most cases of a blue tongue are a characteristic case of hypoxia or ischemia.

Home Remedy For Tired Eyes

There are few things that you need to do to solve this problem. The first lies in eating a diet that is rich in onions and spinach so that you can increase the amount of iron content in your body. Iron is the substance that carries oxygen in our blood through hemoglobin. The next step is to start getting a complete eight hours of sleep. This is something that you will have to weave into your daily cycle – remember no less or more than eight hours. The final step is to deal with the problem of hyperpigmentation. Start by washing your face with salicylic acid that will help you to remove the dead skin cells that might have accumulated in the area. Next, every night before you go to sleep, make a solution of strawberry pulp and lemon juice and apply it under your eyes. Both of these contain vitamin C that will reverse the effects of tanning and hyperpigmentation. This should start showing some results almost immediately though you might not be able to really tell till a month passes by.
