Home Remedies To Remove Facial Hair Permanently

Excessive facial hair is a rather common annoyance that affects a number of women the world over. Excessive facial hair makes you feel really awkward, especially while face to face with people. Some women get unwanted hair on the face because of hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy, and menopause. During puberty, the testosterone level in a woman is at its highest, causing hair growth on the face. Also, when a woman’s estrogen level drops and there is overproduction of androgens, it manifests itself through facial hair. This can also lead to a condition called polycystic ovarian disorder (PCOD). If the hair growth is a lot thicker and darker than normal, it’s best to consult a gynecologist and get a medical opinion.

Home Remedies

There are many ways to get rid of facial hair permanently. And these are not necessarily painful and cumbersome like waxing, threading or tweezing. However, do keep in mind that you won’t see results overnight. You need to have patience for good results. Gently rubbing a pumice stone over the growth everyday has a permanent effect eventually. Another useful product in unwanted hair removal is gram flour. Make a paste of gram and milk or water along with a pinch of turmeric powder. Spread the pack all over your face and let it dry completely. When it dries off, scrape it off by rubbing it a little strongly in the opposite direction of hair growth. This is an essential step as the unwanted hair has to be displaced. Wash your face after the procedure is over.

Turmeric powder is also effective in removal of excessive facial hair. Make a paste using water, rose water and yogurt. Add a dash of turmeric to the mixture, and apply to the face. When it dries, wash it off properly. Just take care that turmeric doesn’t leave behind any stains, as it has a rather strong color that doesn’t wash off easily. You can also take lemon, sugar and water and make a mixture of them. Apply it on your face in the same direction as your hair grows. Let it dry for about fifteen minutes and later remove it with cold water. Apart from these remedies, you need to stay healthy and stress- free. Do everything you can to steer clear of stress because stress has a direct impact on facial hair growth control. Being stress free would be good for your health and also guard against excessive facial hair growth. If you follow these remedies dedicatedly, you will notice effective results.
