Home Remedies to Heal Canker Sores In Mouth

Canker sores can be very painful. Sometimes they are more annoying than painful. They can appear once and then go away, or they can keep coming back time an again. Sometimes they appear because of an injury. Sometimes they can happen because of a lack of vitamins.

Some of the things that you can do to make the sores to go away:

  • Use an antiseptic mouthwash.
  • Mix a little baking soda with water
  • Swish whiskey in your mouth until the sore is numb.
  • You can use 500 mg lysine
  • You can use alum powder.
  • Place salt on the canker sore.
  • Take three acidophilus pills in the morning and at night.
  • Put a little sugar on the sore and let it dissolve.
  • Crush an aspirin and place on the canker sore. Let it dissolve. Or just place a soft aspirin on the sore and let it dissolve.
  • To prevent the sores, clean your toothbrush with hydrogen peroxide.
  • Take Omega 3 or Omega 3-6-9
  • Dab a little honey on the sore.
  • Try using an over the counter throat spray.
  • Use a black tea bag.
  • Use concentrated cabbage pills for two to three days.
  • Switch to a natural toothpaste.
  • Licorice tea will help with the pain.
  • Avoid eating chips.
  • Gargle with hydrogen peroxide.
  • Try to avoid any foods that can damage the mouth.
  • Try drinking a cola.
  • If you have persistent canker sores and amalgam fillings, you may need to have the fillings replaced with a different material.
  • Place a pinto bean on the sore.
  • You may have an allergy, possibly milk; you may need to be tested.
  • You try applying a powder denture adhesive to the canker sore.
  • Mix lime with rock salt and apply to the sore.

Because canker sores can be caused by other things, if the chosen remedy does not help, you may need to go to the doctor and find out what the underlying reason is for the canker sores to come back. It could be from an injury caused from something as simple as eating a potato chip. You can also have another infection that could be causing you to be susceptible to canker sores.

Either way there is relief that can be available to you. As with all possible infections, make sure that you drink plenty of liquids. You must keep yourself hydrated.
