Color Meditation

What is Color Meditation?

Color is often been to raise the spirits, help with your appetite and even make you look better.



It is even used as an effective spiritual healing therapy, by combining breathing exercises. Generally color meditation is lengthened focus on the seven rainbow colors. However, even variations of colors are used to boost or diminish efficacy.

Techniques of Color Meditation

  1. Sit down in a comfortable, relaxed position, either upright or lying down.



    We suggest sitting up since most folks have the tendency to fall asleep during meditation. Likewise, if this is your first time, you may fall asleep.
  2. Next, shut your eyes and take a couple deep, diaphragmatic breaths. Fill your lungs completely and hold each breath for two or three seconds before releasing.




  3. You can either start the color therapy using your chakras, or just breathe in color. If you are a beginner, continue on with simple breathing techniques, and leave chakra work for later.
  4. Better use a general color for all around good health. Once you have chosen your color, and your intended area of therapy, visualize it flooding your lungs with every breath. See the color flow with the air/oxygen to the required area.
  5. See the region being suffused in the light of that color.
  6. Do this with every inhalation. As you exhale, visualize all negative energy being released from the region in a black or grey cloud, upwards and out your lungs.
  7. Repeat this process for five minutes, for each part or organ of the body needed. After completing the therapy, take five more minutes to breathe in white color, and exhale all residual negative energy.
  8. Then you may open your eyes, and stretch.

Further, it accelerates the body's self-healing abilities, aids better sleep, reduces blood pressure and can help with acute injuries and chronic problems, such as asthma, eczema, headaches, etc.) and aides the breaking of addictions.
