White Spots On Thighs And Skin

The appearance of small white spots on the upper thighs may be an indication of a number of possible dermatological disorders, such as tinea versicolor, vitiligo, and idiopathic guttate. You may also be suffering from leucoderma, which is a condition in which certain parts of the skin do not produce the natural skin coloring pigment, melanin in adequate amounts or the melanin produced is not evenly distributed across all skin cells. This leads to small white spots and discolored patches to appear on the surface of the skin. In order to determine the exact cause behind the problem, you should consult a dermatologist and follow the prescribed course of medication suggested for treatment.

Home Remedy

However, you may simultaneously also try a few simple home remedies to make the white spots disappear naturally. One of the most effective means for solving problems relating to skin pigmentation is tea tree oil. Since this oil contains very strong chemicals, it should always be used in a diluted form. You may either add a few drops of this oil to your regular body wash to clean the affected portion of the skin every day or apply it topically on the skin in the form of a mixture with petroleum jelly or mineral oil. Not only does this remedy stimulate the skin cells to produce and distribute melanin more effectively, but it also acts as a natural antifungal agent that destroys microbes that might be causing local skin infection and discoloration. For another remedy, mix a teaspoon each of beeswax, honey, and olive oil and smear this paste over the white spots on the skin half an hour before taking a bath. This will help restore normal pigmentation in the affected area. You may also crush a few raw cloves of garlic and massage the skin with these for 5 minutes every day. This improves blood circulation in the skin cells and thereby normalizes melanin production and distribution. A very popular remedy is to soak equal portions of psoralea and tamarind seeds in a cup of water for 3 to 4 days, then grind them together to a paste and apply it on the affected area. The paste should be allowed to dry on its own and then rinsed off with water. Drinking a glass of buttermilk every morning is also known to solve pigmentation problems naturally. Sunbathing early in the morning for half an hour might also be useful.
