Blood and blood plasma run through our entire body, transporting oxygen, vital nutrients, and toxins from one organ to another. It is not unusual then for the blood to sometimes become toxic due to an abundance of toxins that it so often carries. Today there are many common ways of detoxifying the body and rid it of the toxins that might have become permanent residents in the body. Though this sounds pretty serious, this is a normal routine for the body and there is no need to panic and end up spending a lot of money for detoxification of your blood.

Cleansing the body and the blood circulation system does not really needs expensive medication and multiple visits to the doctor. The doctor only comes into the picture if you have excess of toxins that have lead to some form of poisoning. The poisoning could happen due to excess of heavy metals in our diet or due to prolonged exposure to chemicals.

How To Use Herbal Detoxification

There are a lot of home remedies that can usually easily help you to get rid of the toxins in your body. Top it up with a healthy diet, including specific food groups that help eliminate pent up toxins, and you have nothing to worry about. The lungs, kidneys, liver and bowels, due to their function, are the organs that are most susceptible to absorbing toxins. Therefore, it is necessary to take these home remedies repeatedly after fixed intervals of time, so that the body remains healthy and toxins do not readily accumulate in the organs.

The body has a self cleansing mechanism which works when the body is in a state of rest, i.e., when you are sleeping. The lymph, that flows through the various lymphatic channels goes to the various organs and cleanses them to get rid of the toxins. Therefore, it is necessary to give the body proper rest and at least eight hours of sleep everyday.

Regular physical activity and exercise produce chemicals like endorphins which help flush out toxins. The amount of sweat that is generated through physical activity also tends to flush out the toxins from the skin.

A good diet and a healthy intake of water are absolutely essential. Drink at least 4-5 liters of water everyday. The more you drink the better. In fact to cleanse the body of toxins, there is nothing better than water. You can make a decoction using water, the juice of a lemon, a spoonful of honey, and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. You can also add some ginger and apple juice to the water. Make a large batch of this drink and ingest it several times in a day. With that, avoid caffeinated drinks like coffee and completely avoid alcohol. Try to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables that have a high fiber content. Follow this for at least 3 to 4days to completely flush out your system.
