High blood pressure is one of the most prevailed ailments in the world right now. It affects different people from different ages and different races. Blood pressure is a term used to describe the pressure of the blood inside the blood vessels; it is measured using a mercury stegmometer.

There are several methods to control high blood pressure. More and more people are now opting for ways to lower high blood pressure naturally and these methods rely on herbs, exercise, and diet.


Yoga is known to be one of the proven methods to increase low blood pressure and lower high blood pressure. Also, there are several types of food to lower blood pressure. Generally, any food without salt can be used for lowering high blood pressure. You can also use a concoction made from the Hibiscus plant on a daily basis to lower blood pressure. This is one of the methods to lower high blood pressure naturally. When it comes to lowering blood pressure via exercise, yoga is considered the best method. There are several types of yoga that can be used to lower blood pressure. In general, yoga means to unite or connect. In other words, it synchronizes your physical and mental states.

The easiest postures, or asanas, to lower blood pressure are the sitting postures, such as the Lotus Pose (Padma Asana) or the Easy Pose (Sukha Asana). Seated yoga postures promote relaxation and meditation and should be practiced every day. This helps in lowering the blood pressure without using medication. These postures help in lowering high blood pressure and reduce the possibility of a high blood pressure heart attack. There are other postures that help in adjusting low blood pressure. In general, the inverted poses are used to elevate the low blood pressure. The Downward Facing Dog Pose (Adho Mukha Svana Asana) is one of the most popular methods to increase low blood pressure. Perform this exercise for several minutes every day and you will soon see a difference in your blood pressure levels.

High blood pressure is considered a silent killer because it is a predisposing factor for many diseases and ailments so, controlling high blood pressure is a very crucial issue that you have to take care of. Consistently practicing yoga will help you to combat this problem and lead a healthier and fuller life.
