Symptoms High Fever : 105 Fever

Fever is characterized by the rise in the temperature of the body which is normally at 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. This increase in temperature is usually a symptom of an infection being present in the body and, while a lot of people will try to control the fever, very few are aware of the fact that the increase in temperature is part of the human body’s defense mechanism where it tries to create an inhabitable environment for the foreign body and cause it to exit the system. When a person starts to build up a fever – it is quite hard to identify the underlying condition as a fever is one of the most common symptoms when it comes to infections in the body. While the fever starts to build, our blood and lymphatic systems produce white blood cells which fight off the infection. The body also starts to heat up as a result of white bloods continuing to increase in number, giving them a better advantage in fighting the infection. If the fever starts to rise above 103 degrees, the condition starts to become critical where a temperature of 105 degrees can also cause damage to the nervous system. Fevers above the 102 degree mark are also known at times to be accompanied by seizures.

Treatment And Remedies

A few home remedies that could help fight off the high fever include:

  • Drinking large amounts of water in order to compensate for any loss of liquids from the body by way of sweat.
  • You could also try boiling 2 or 3 teaspoons of powder made from roasted fenugreek seeds and straining the water before adding a drop of clarified butter and drinking it to help instantly bring down any high body temperature.
  • Another option is to warm a mixture of 2 tablespoons of olive oil with 2 large crushed garlic cloves and applying the mixture under the soles of each foot and wrapping it in plastic. Keep the plastic on for the course of the entire night as this will help significantly reduce any fever that you are suffering from.
  • For higher body temperatures, you could try soaking 25 raisins in about ½ cup of water and crush the raisins while still in the water. Strain the juice and add 1/2 a cup of teaspoon of lime juice tom the liquid and drink it at least twice every day.
  • Add about ½ a cup of vinegar to your lukewarm bath water and allow your body to soak in it for about 5 to 10 minutes. Atemperature of 105 degrees can also cause damage to the nervous system.
