It does happen that even though you get rid of the pimples and acne, they leave behind ugly marks and blemishes as reminders of the affliction, even when you don’t touch the acne and pimples. However, you have done the right thing by not touching them, as the marks would have worsened for you otherwise.Touching pimples and acne aggravates the problem because our palms are already greasy and dirty too. You thus end up causing more pimples, along with secondary infections that increase the chances of scars and dark spots.

Scars are difficult to get rid of, but there are home remedies that will help you get rid of the marks. The task will be easier if the marks are recent. An effective remedy to get rid of blemishes is keeping the peels of orange in sun till they are completely dried of the moisture. Grind the peels into a fine powder and mix it with yogurt. Then, apply the paste on your face in a circular motion with your finger tips. Let it remain on for about 15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. Do this thrice a day to get effective results. Potato and lemon have natural bleaching agents that work wonders on getting rid of scars and blemishes. You can apply the juice of potato or lemon, let it stay for 20 minutes and then wash your face with cold water. Vitamin E is also effective in lightening the skin and getting rid of spots. Break open one or two vitamin E capsules and apply the oil topically on your skin. Let it stay overnight so that it has time to penetrate the skin and work on the spots. Wash it off the next morning. There are some more home remedies that will get rid of the spots and give you glowing skin as well. Mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar with one teaspoon of orange juice or onion juice. Using a clean cotton swab, apply this mix on the dark spots at bed time. Wash the solution off in the morning.

How to Get Rid It

It would of course be better if you got rid of the pimples rather than working on the scars. If you do not have pimples, you wouldn’t need to worry about the blemishes either. For that, you need to wash your face with warm water thrice a day, eat lots of green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits and vegetables, drink two liters of water everyday, get some exercise, be stress free, and get good sleep.
