Acute Chronic Coughing Symptoms

When symptoms are chronic, they have usually taken some time to develop. This can be a few months to a few years, usually with a gradually increasing intensity. This is the case in smoker’s whose coughing gets progressively worse over time. An acute symptom on the other hand is one that develops suddenly like most ailments and disappears when the underlying disease is treated. Your symptoms are more acute than chronic, and it is obvious that you have an upper respiratory tract infection, as there are a few systems that are affected. The first finger of suspicion points towards a viral infection and considering the recent flu epidemics that are rampant and deadly, if you have a fever as well, you should immediately go to a doctor. If you do not have any fever or aches and pains, then your respiratory tract is being irritated by an allergen. This is further causing peripheral inflammation of the sinuses – and further the eyes.

Chronic Cough Mucus

Allergies are our body’s hypersensitive reaction to many common pollutants that should otherwise not cause an allergy. A common allergen is pollen. This is an innocuous substance that many humans have to breathe in unconsciously when flowers are in bloom. Unfortunately, some people have pollen allergies because the body’s immune system treats the pollen grains that are lodged in the respiratory system as a pathogen – like bacteria, viruses or fungi. The body then initiates the first response when under attack, which is called inflammation. Inflammation causes swelling, increased blood flow, and mucus production. In respiratory diseases, whether allergic or infection based, this is the standard response.

Remedies And Treatment

To treat your condition, you will need some herbs first. Incidentally, the remedy that you were ratifying is the treatment that is used to relieve swelling and massive bruising of the legs. This would be useful if you had some kind of trauma to the leg that ruptured blood vessels but was not enough to cut the skin. Raising the leg then causes the blood to stop accumulating. To remedy the allergy, start ingesting the following herbs by adding them to your diet. Remember that they should be in the most natural state possible; therefore, ginger should be had as a preparation from the root and not just ginger ale. To continue, increase the intake of ginger, feverfew, and turmeric. All these will reduce the inflammation and stop you from feeling sick. Just in case you might have an infection as well, also add garlic to the list, as this is a potent antibiotic.
