Home Remedies For Skin Rashes On Testicles

Please suggest remedies for skin rashes on my testicles I am facing from one year.

A skin rash is a very common symptom associated with a range of skin disorders that lead to changes in the skin color and texture. This can make it complicated to successfully diagnose and treat a skin rash. In your case, the rash on the testicular region may be caused by local irritation (due to clothing), a mild allergy, or a recurring fungal infection. If you suspect that clothes may be the problem, try changing your innerwear to materials made of natural fibers such as cotton. These are less likely to cause irritation or allergies than man-made fibers. In case your rash is linked to an allergy, a comprehensive allergen test will be required to try and identify the cause of the allergy. Cases of recurring fungal infection can also be responsible for skin rashes and peeling skin in the genital region. These can be treated successfully with OTC fungal powders and by maintaining basic hygiene that keeps the region clean and dry. In any case, you should visit a dermatologist before beginning any long-term treatment.

Treatment For Skin Rashes

Skin rashes can also be treated with home remedies that help to provide relief from the irritation and itchiness. Aloe vera gel is a popular choice for topical application, since it helps to sooth the area and heals the skin. Aloe vera can also prevent any secondary bacterial infections that can attack the inflamed skin in the rash. Similarly, tea tree oil has excellent preventative properties and is very effective in clearing up any fungal infection (such as jock itch). Try and avoid bathing products containing artificial chemicals during the course of the rash outbreak. Instead, use a mild medicated soap that contains moisturizer or petroleum jelly. Use a clean towel to pat the area dry and avoid scrubbing the sensitive skin. If the itchiness is persistent, add some OTC medicated oatmeal to your bath water; this helps to reduce the irritation and allows the skin to heal itself. In severe cases, hydrocortisone creams of 1% strength can ease the symptoms.

Wear clothing that is loose and comfortable; this helps to avoid chafing the affected skin and avoids build-up of sweat and moisture. Deodorants or cosmetic products should never be applied directly on a rash; this will only irritate the skin and make the condition worse. One important factor is to continue the treatment for at least one week after the rash has disappeared. This helps to destroy any remaining bacteria or fungi and prevents the risk of the problem reappearing.
