Other than these remedies, there are some important hygiene tips that you need to keep in mind to keep pinworms at bay. Always keep your hands clean. Your fingernails should also be short and clean and you must never bite your nails. Bathing with Epsom salt mixed in hot water once a week will inhibit the worms from growing. Turmeric has antiseptic and anti-parasitic properties. Take a cup of hot milk mixed with a teaspoon of turmeric powder every night before going to bed. You must remember that pinworms can be passed from one person to the other through infected hands. Hence, if one person in your family is infected, it would be better if every member followed preventive measures for about a week.
