Yoga For Boils

For those of you, who dont give a damn about Yoga, let me tell you right away, I understand perfectly. What I personally like about Yoga is not what you may think. At the risk of stating the obvious, I am no yogi. No, I aint no health nut, either, and enjoy eating steak every now and then and buying bags of potato chips for my egg salad or turkey sandwich lunches.

Thats probably all going to change soon. Id better get better and better at twisting my fat and squishing my guts. I still have my routines. Subsequently I still have a fat rump and hope I dont drag it to the grave. But enough about me.

Coming to what I have to share, when you have boils and sores and want them to go away, so does your body's immune system. It goes to work right away and, usually, sends in the cellular repair crews and zip, zip cleans it up. Some boils and sores prove to be more stubborn than others they just hang in there and keep on coming. Sores have hundreds of possible causes, many of which are hard to pinpoint and even harder to shake. So dont go worrying your head over it

For the past 5 years Ive sampled Yoga and I found it an excellent way to get rid of all kinds of health problems. One of my major issues used to be boils and skin eruptions. What I also discovered was that Yoga never attacks a problem directly; it just deals with cleansing and boosting up the immune system. The rest happens of is own accord.

Through Yoga it was that I came to understand that these things boils, sores, acne, pimples, skin eruptions and other problems are rooted deep within our system. We can try cures and cures. But they're, at best, only temporary solutions the problems keep returning. That was, until I turned to Yoga? Here it was that I learned about detoxifying the system the natural way getting to the root of the problem. Toxins!

We I mean students and instructor dug into some of the best Yoga poses, breathing and cleansing techniques to find out some solutions to problems and, guess what. We found some, too.

Here is a list of what I've come up with that helped me heaps, perfect for beginners who wish to learn Yoga at home and get rid of health problems in general. We also dug into ancient texts and came up with some specific solutions to my sore complaints. I mean my sores.

Asanas

Triangular pose, Cobra pose, Thunderbolt pose, Cow face pose, Corpse pose

Pranayamas: Kapalabhatti, Anuloma-Viloma, Bhastrika, Ujjayi

Cleansing techniques: These, by the way are most important for you and include Vaman Dhauti, Shanka Prakshalana

Diet

Its what we call a Sattvic Yogic diet. Many diseases are directly or indirectly linked with wrong food habits. A change in diet can stimulate the whole system. My healthy motto is: "Eat to live, not live to eat". Sattvic foods include most fruits, nuts, seeds, vegetables, particularly green leafy vegetables, whole grains, honey, pure water and milk. If you're troubled by boils, skin eruptions, acne or pimples, I, from experience, would strongly suggest the following diet:

Foods to Eat

  • Fresh, sweet fruits of all types, preferably eaten whole.
  • All vegetables that come your way, except carbohydrate rich potatoes, peas, chick-peas etc.
  • Whole grains, such as rice, wheat and oats.
  • Not overly roasted or salted nuts and seeds such as almonds, coconuts, walnuts, pecans and sesame.
  • Natural sugars like stevia, jaggery, honey, maple syrup and molasses.
  • Ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, fennel, cumin, coriander, turmeric, mint, basil, fenugreek and other such sweet spices.
  • Herbal teas, natural water and fresh juices, particularly of the lemony kind.

Foods to Avoid

  • Red meat and too many eggs
  • Artificial, processed and junk foods and artificial sweeteners.
  • Canned foods, except naturally canned fruits and tomatoes.
  • Animal fats, margarine and poor quality oils.
  • Dairy products and f fried foods
  • White sugar and white flour.
  • Alcohol, tobacco and all other stimulants.
  • Artificial beverages, especially Coke, Pepsi and Mirinda
  • Microwaved and irradiated food as well as old, stale, over and reheated food.
  • All genetically engineered foods.

The rest is up to you. All the best!
