Steps

The bronchial and asthma mudra are usually recommended for respiratory problems. They can be performed with both the hands.

During an attack, you could practice the bronchial and asthma mudra, until your breathing calms down. The steps of bronchial and asthma mudra include -

  • Place the tip of your little finger at the base of your thumb, the tip of your ring finger on the upper thumb joint and the tip of your middle finger at the tip of the thumb
  • Extend your index finger so that it is straight
  • Practice this gesture with one or both hand for about 5 minutes each day

Follow this up by another gesture, where you -

  • Touch the base of your palms and bend your middle fingers, so that they touch each other.
  • Press the fingernails of your middle fingers together, while keeping all your other finger extended
