Kids Yoga Poses And Postures

Kids’ yoga poses, like other yoga poses, are also very precise and need to be practiced methodically.

Yogasanas (yoga postures) are distinctive postures which involve stretching and bending. These postures help to relax tense or contracted body muscles. Rhythmic repetition of these poses results in the toning of the body as well as massaging the internal organs. They improve the immunity of children by building up their respiratory, digestive and circulatory vitality.

Vrksasana (the Tree Pose) and Virabhadrasana (the Warrior Pose) appear to work very well for kids. They instill a sense of confidence in children and also make them calm and balanced. All the poses should be explained thoroughly to the children so that they understand what they mean. Given below are some kids’ yoga postures:-

  • Adho Mukha Svanasana (Dog and Cat)
  • Adho Mukha Svanasana(Downward Facing Dog)
