Yoga Exercise For Acne Treatment

One of the causes of acne is stress, which can cause inflammation. It has been shown by studies that practicing yoga regularly helps reduce stress. The development of acne is quite common during menstruation because of the hormonal changes. The most effective poses to reduce stress and inflammation are restorative poses, inversions, and forward bends. Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend) helps in relaxing the facial muscles and regulating the hormones, which has a positive impact on the skin.

To perform this pose you should be in the standing position with your feet at the width of your hips. Take a deep breath and bring your arms overhead. Then, while you breathe out, bend forward and bring your hands to reach the ground. Pascimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend) is another very good pose for stress reduction. This pose helps in reducing stress in the muscles of the face. Regular practice of Salamba Sirsasana (Headstand) enables a fresh supply of blood through the cells of the brain and brings nourishment to the skin.

Do You Think Bikram Yoga Could Help My Acne?

You are not alone in your search for a long-term acne solution. Dealing with this problem in isolation is no solution as this is connected to the other aspects of your well being as well. Yoga fits in beautifully into this way of thinking. Practicing yoga benefits not only your body but your mind and spirit as well. If you practice yoga for a minimum of 1 hour five times a week, will help you focus better, calm down the tense nerves and thus reduce stress as well. This will therefore make you strong and flexible.

While any yoga can help with your acne, faster styles such as Bikram yoga might do a better job. Bikram yoga is performed in a heated room that encourages sweating and the removal of toxins. It can regulate your metabolism, reduce constipation, stimulate your lymphatic system, increase blood flow and calm your mind. Much has been said about the benefits of saunas and steam rooms on the skin to help clear your pores and remove dead skin and bacteria. Well, Bikram yoga combines these benefits along with the age-old tradition of yoga. Just make sure you drink plenty of water before and after your workout so that you don’t get dehydrated.
