Straighten up saggy knees?

(March 4, 2013)

Saggy skin plagues both men and women and can affect any part of the body as you grow older. The knee due to repeated bending and stretching tends to become more saggy and wrinkled. But, not to worry, a few simple knee exercises can help you get your knees back in shape.

What knee exercises should I follow?

A few exercises that you can try are yoga, Pilates, leg extensions, and squats. All these forms of exercise should help tone your knee and quadriceps. These also require minimal equipment. Consult a yoga instructor or Pilates teacher to teach you the proper method in which to do your exercises.

What diet should I follow?

If you are overweight, lose excess body fat by adopting a healthy diet as well. Your diet must also include foods that are good for you skin. Foods contain antioxidants and vitamins A, C, D and E augment the creation of collagen and elastin; these include apricots, carrots, cantaloupe, dark green leafy vegetables, grapefruit, and sweet potatoes. Drink 8 to 12 glasses of water a day so that your skin remains hydrated.
