Although the advent of electricity has meant that candles are seldom used for giving light, they have still remained an integral part of our culture. From birthdays to religious ceremonies, candles are a part of all of our special occasions. They are also used as decorative pieces in our living spaces. Scented candles are used for their pleasing aromas not only for relaxing but also for creating a romantic setting. Apart from these everyday uses, candles are also used in prayers and for a super-romantic candlelit dinner.

The pleasing aromas and soft glow of candles are something that is enjoyed by everyone. Due to the many uses of candles, and the particular fondness many people show for them, candles made of different materials have become very popular. Natural soy candles are an excellent choice when it comes to candles. These are naturally made and come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors. You can even get yourself a pack of scented candles to light up alongside a relaxing aromatic bath.

Natural soy candles score over wax candles in a number of ways. Unlike wax candles, soy candles are not made up of petroleum byproducts. They are made up of completely natural ingredients. Since petroleum and its by products continue to be one of the most important sources of fuels in the world, using soy candles is a way to save an important natural resource.

Since wax candles are made up of synthetic products, they release several toxic byproducts when they are burnt. Some of these by products are carcinogenic and are therefore extremely harmful for humans. These chemicals do not cause harm when smaller candles are burnt. However, when candles are burnt in large quantities, they can be very harmful.

Since soy candles are completely natural, they leave no toxic residues. They are completely bio degradable and are therefore extremely eco friendly. These candles are also easy to handle and aren’t messy like wax candles. Wax candles leave behind a sticky residue which requires a lot of effort to clean. However, the same is not true for soy candles. The soy candle wax also leaves behind some residue, but that can be cleaned completely using some soap and water.

You can buy a variety of soy candles in the form of soy jar candles, soy votive candles, and handmade soy candles. These candles come in different price ranges and you can definitely find something to suit your pocket and taste.
