Then again there is Ashtanga, but that should not stop you from practicing Power Yoga. Power Yoga is an excellent discipline. It is also a regular practice that helps keep up the flexibility of the body, enhance coordination and get rid of stress.

The best calorie-burning exercises are Power Yoga workouts.



They call for the large muscle groups – above all in the legs – to function constantly. The periods can range from half an hour to an hour. Power Yoga burns the maximum calories, so long as you do the sessions often enough (3 to 5 times per week) and long enough (30 to 60 minutes a session).

Further if you follow a diet based on principles of Power Yoga, it will definitely help you lose a lot of weight. The Power Yoga diet is predominantly vegetarian. It is also mostly free of fats, fried and spicy foods and all caffeinated beverages such as coffee, tea, cocoa and fizzy drinks.

For our daily work we expend calories. These we receive from the food we consume. However if we ingest more calories and burn less, the calories get collected and remain in the system in form of fats. Rise in fats brings down body movements. This again makes one put on weight. So as to bring down the fats we have to control the food habits. If you wish to lead a regular healthy life your weight should not exceed the prescribed, certain limits.
