Yoga can help to regain the lost strength and stamina in the body. It works wonders for the treatment of a wide variety of diseases one is suffering from and it also helps to maintain the overall fitness of the human body. Yoga is good as it provides exercise to all the organs of the body and various asanas of yoga help in providing exercise to only one organ at a time.
Various yoga postures can be proved to be beneficial for the normal body functions. For the overall functioning of the body general yoga which involves all body organs like asthanga yoga (eight part yoga) is recommended so that all body organs can get appropriate exercise. Chanting of the word Omkar also helps to refresh mind and the body and keeps it in good spirit. It also helps to increase concentration at work.
Breathing exercises of Yoga like Pranayam, alternate nostril breathing and also holding the breath helps to increase concentration and increases the mental and physical ability of the individual.

Various asanas of yoga can be recommended for good health. One should start with simple asanas in the beginning like o Savasana (dead corpse pose) o Padmasana (lotus pose) o Matsyasna (fish Pose) o Pranayam( breath control)
Once when the individual gains command over these asanas then one can always move to complicated postures like o Matsyasana (Fish Pose) o Chakrasana (Wheel Pose) o Ardh Chakrasana (semi wheel pose)
The breathing exercises of Yoga help the mind and the body to concentrate better. It helps to increase the productivity of the body as one gets involved in the projects with fresh mind and rejuvenated body.
There are various types of yoga which are recommended for the overall better functioning of the body. They are asthanga yoga, power yoga, hot yoga and iyengar yoga. These yoga postures should be learnt under a yoga practitioner before taking up yoga exercises as it is beneficial to understand it before practicing it so that it doesn’t cause strain on other organs of the body.
