Does Yoga Really Helps To Gain Weight ?

Yoga has been found beneficial across the ages in helping people to lose weight, stay healthy and fit. However there are some yoga positions for weight gain. One of the basic yoga for weight gain positions is the Corpse pose or the Shavasana. This yoga pose is the easiest one to perform. All one has to do is to lie down in the supine position and continue to breathe normally in and out. This involves minimum activity and helps a person to increase their stamina and also to increase their appetite. The Sarvangasana or the Shoulder Stand is another very effective yoga position that helps a person to gain weight. This shoulder stand involves a person lying on the floor, while keeping their legs joined together. They then should inhale and lift their hips off the ground and then their legs should be raised above their heads to the 30 degree angle first. Then they should move their legs to the 90 degrees angle and then finally to the 130 degrees angle. Hold this position for about 5 to 6 counts and then move one’s legs to 90 degrees angle. From here one should try to move on to their shoulders by moving their hands to their shoulder blades for support.
