Sivananda Yoga ClassesThe Sivananda Yoga Centers around the world offer you throughout the year yoga classes, vacations and yoga courses.
Here you are taught the basics of Yoga poses, right breathing techniques, relaxation, diet and meditation. All of this in calm and peaceful surroundings. All levels from beginners to regular practitioners are admitted to the Centers.
All are welcome to join open classes. Instruction in yoga – that includes poses breathing exercises and relaxation – are imparted regardless of nationality, caste, creed or color.
All participants are requested is to carry their own bring comfortable, loose clothing preferably cottons. Yoga mats and blankets are available. Students – men, women and children alike – are advised not to eat for at least two or three hours prior a Yoga class.
In many of the centers, Yoga classes are conducted amidst the wonders of nature that is in the open countryside. This practice of integral Yoga brings about an instant, deep relaxation and internal rejuvenation. It cultivates joy and bliss from within. Morning meditation in lifts up the mind, and the breathing exercises cleanse the lungs, refresh and revive every cell of one’s body.
The Yoga exercises and poses together with the breathing exercises help relax tense muscles, revitalize the heart and bring elasticity in all the joints. Likewise, the practice of deep relaxation help the student beat daily stress, while pure, Sattvic food purifies the body.
A basic yoga class comprises a number of stretching exercises and poses (asanas). By doing them you release physical and mental tensions are released, and develop strength, stamina and elasticity and overall suppleness. The right breathing exercises boost your energy and vitality. Finally, the guided relaxation practices help you develop a foundation for inner peace.
