Thoughts on Karma Yoga

Thoughts on Karma Yoga have been offered by many, down the years.

Here are some more enlightening thoughts on Karma Yoga.  It is the Yoga of action and is only desireless action done for the sake of its own sake. Like an artist painting – art for art’s sake. Karma Yoga is man's real and authentic acceptance of worldly existence.

Karma Yoga is one's resolute march across the combat zone of life.

Karma Yoga does not agree with people who believe that the human acts and their consequences are of no importance. Karma Yoga says that life is a great opportunity to serving humanity; in fact all creation. This type of Yoga is not merely the Yoga of gross action.

It includes the seeker's moral and inner life too.

People who follow the path of Karma Yoga usually are blessed with strong and perfect bodies. That is because they pray for it; and for a long life. This long life, by the way, is not just an elongation of life, chronologically speaking. It is a life of quality, one that longs for the Supreme Truth, Light and Power to descend upon them on this physical plane. The Karma Yogis are the real heroes on earthly. In fact, it is said that theirs is the real Divine victory.

A Karma Yogi never succumbs to disappointment or despair in life. He believes that everything in life with its consequences have a Divine purpose. A Karma Yogi sees himself as the hyphen between worldly duties and Divine responsibilities. There are many weapons to conquer the world, of all of which his detachment is the most powerful. A Karma Yogi’s detachment confronts both the crushing blows of defeat and the ego-gratifying impulses of success. It is a detachment that is well beyond both the traps of this world's agonizing pangs and the embrace of the world's throbbing joy.
