Power yoga helps you to lose weight in an intense manner and it totally depends on the class you are attending, the kind of work out they give you there and how much of it you practice, the intensity of your yoga practice and the time or frequency of your yoga practice. It is different compared to the traditional yoga. It is a western form of yoga that gives you an intense workout. It does not have a specific series or sets of asanas or postures like the traditional ashtanga yoga and hence it varies from class to class.

In the traditional yoga class you learn everything from the Dhyana or meditation, the pranayama or the breathing exercises, kriya or the cleansing practices, bandhas or the locks, etc. Yoga can be practiced by anyone anywhere without worrying of caste, color, creed, etc. Yoga has several benefits such as it helps you to get rid of your stress and makes you feel refreshed and energized, it makes you feel peaceful and alert at the same time, it improves your focus and concentration, it increases your physical strength, stamina, and muscular endurance, it gives your body and mind a complete workout both inside and outside, it tones your body and skin tone improving the way you look and feel, it increases your self control, it helps to treat injuries, muscle stiffness, and makes the body more flexible, boosts the functions of the immune system, corrects and improves your posture and the tone of your muscles, boosts the circulation of fresh blood and oxygen to each and every part of your body that results in glowing skin and hair, good blood circulation also helps to clear out the blockages in the system and allows the blood to flow more freely, it deeply cleans and detoxifies the system and helps to get rid of all the impurities from the system, optimizes the functions of all the internal organs, helps to improve the balance, promotes a sense of peace and tranquility, etc.
