Power Yoga Workout

Power Yoga completely digresses from the traditional form of Yoga.

An East-meets-West routine, Power Yoga is a synthesis of Yoga with practical and litheness training. Both of them help the body perform better. Power yoga is a bit of Surya Namaskar.

Basically, it entails the movements of the conventional Surya Namaskar (Sun salutation). These are blended with flexibility and strength training. The Surya Namaskar comprises around 13 dynamic movements.

There are also specific breathing patterns practised in a continuous graceful sequence.

Power Yoga workout counteracts the effects of previous exercises. It even develops the muscles of the ribcage and waist. Advantage of doing the Surya Namaskar every day is that it will make your spine flexible and trim inches of your waist. The Power Yoga principle is that there are different modules and typically, a person would perform one asana followed by strength training. This makes the practitioner’s physical strength work for him / her. It also makes the whole workout a lot more dynamic. For instance, as part of the Surya Namaskar, one asana is very similar to the push-up position.

In one component, the teacher might decide to make the class do regular push-ups. Next, he / she might ask the participants to do push-ups on their knees, feet crossed up in the air. The advantages of Power Yoga are that it increases lean muscle tissue. This means greater calorie burning, lowered body's fat percentage and greater BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). This accounts for a stronger person, leaving the practitioner with strength for daily life. A Power Yoga workout works the abdominal and back muscles continuously, thereby boosting core strength. This raises the heartbeat agreeably and pleasantly.

Like Power Yoga, conventional Yoga, helps bring down levels of stress and relax the body and mind. Power Yoga also helps enhance powers of concentration. This is especially good for students. How often should you do power yoga? This dynamic 45-minute workout is recommend
