There's plenty to gain from the practice of yoga and if done in the proper manner, this therapy can reap benefits both for the mind and body. Yoga is instrumental in increasing the flexibility of individual as all the positions of this particular therapy acts upon the numerous joints in the body and leaves them pliable. Yoga also helps in enhancing the lubrication of the joints, ligaments and the tendons in the body. As a form of activity, yoga also massages with internal glands and the organs of the body and this stimulation of the organs in turn helps the body to keep fit and fight every disease. Most of this stretching positions and posters of yoga enhanced as the blood circulation in the various parts of the body. In addition to ensuring optimum blood supply, yoga also helps in the flushing out of toxins and helps the body to get rid of waste products effectively. Numerous benefits of yoga include a delay in ageing, remarkable spiritedness, mental clarity, emotional balance, physical fitness, and an enthusiastic zest for life.

However on the other hand, the only advantage in practicing yoga is when the postures and positions in yoga are performed incorrectly. As with all forms of exercises and treatments, yoga too needs to be correctly exercised and it is highly recommended that a bus certified yoga instructor initiates the individual into this form of exercise to correctly balance breathing and positions involved in yoga. A novice must not attempt to do yoga on his own without any form of guidance as the twists and movements in yoga are likely hinder the individual in the forms of strains or injury. Yoga is a specialized technique and has to be correctly and properly studied and practiced.

There are no side-effects known in practice of yoga. All those who have practiced and performed yoga regularly have proven to be in the optimum of health, without any complaint of illness or difficulty. As the main emphasis of yoga is on general and overall well-being, taking into account the physical and mental aspects of the human being, this form treatment aims in bringing about the right balance between body and mind. According to yogic principles, when the balance is upstaged in individual, disorders and diseases are formed. Deep breathing exercises and mental relaxation are extremely critical in creating the perfect balance between body and mind, and hence great emphasis is played upon these two elements in the practice of yoga.
