Blood pressure health advice

If you are not aware by now of the healing powers of yoga, then you would be happy to know that yogasanas have the power to treat hypertension and general blood pressure issues. Certain yoga poses have amazing beneficial effects on the neuro-endocrine system. Moreover the harmful effects of blood pressure on other parts of the body can also be negated with the help of daily practice of yoga.

Some types of yogasanas that are advocated in order to cut down blood pressure are the forward bends, the sitting positions, the supine poses and the inversions category of yogasanas.
Enroll in a certified yoga center or get a qualified yoga instructor to show you how to perform these asanas correctly. it is important to learn the correct posture with the right breathing technique between poses, as incorrect practice of yogasanas may be futile and in some cases even harmful to the condition.

It has been observed that performing forward bends is highly beneficial in lowering hypertension and also helps in giving a tranquilizing effect on the mind. The Uttanasana and Adhomukha Svanasana are also known to lower blood pressure; however novices must do these yogasanas only under the guidance of a practiced yoga instructor.
