Is there a Yoga pose that increases or intensifies the side curve? If I stand face forward in front of a mirror, I look like a rectangular box; I have no curves on my sides whatsoever.

Your genes play the most important role in the overall shape of your body. There are certain exercises that can enhance your body shape and help you develop a more feminine form. Certain Yoga poses can trim your waistline, giving it a more curvaceous look.

Is there a Yoga pose that can enhance your body figure?

Yes, there are a couple of Yoga poses that may be useful to you. One of the yoga poses that could help you is the Jathara Parivartanasana or the “Revolved Abdomen Pose”. To practice this pose correctly, you need to –

  • Lie down on your back and place your arms in the cactus position
  • Lift your feet off the floor and bend your knees, so that they are directly above your hips. Your shins need to be parallel to the floor
  • Keep your shoulders and back pressed on to the floor, breathe out and lower both your knees to the right side. Initially, you will not be able to lower your knees all the way to the floor, which is alright.
  • Breathe in and get your knees back to the center
  • Breathe out and repeat the exercise, but this time lower your knees to your left.
  • Breathe in and bring your knees to the center once again

Continue for five repetitions for each side. Make sure that your back and shoulders do not move while you are practicing the pose.

Trikonasana or the Triangle Pose, which is a standing yoga pose, may also be helpful. However, it is a good idea for you to check with your doctor before practicing any yoga pose.
